I am a huge Depp fan, but wasn't too happy with the outcome of this movie. It had much better potential than what it achieved. When I heard Burton was directing, I was all too excited. I was kinda falling asleep there in the end. I had to fight it off! The imagery was great though! My favorite of course was the caterpillar, even more so because of Alan Rickman! :) But of all the versions the animated Disney 1951 film is the best by far! I was disappointed in the story.
